The Fountains are the focal point of the 9 acre man-made lake outside of the casino facing Las Vegas Blvd. The park like setting near the fountains attracts some of the most interesting night-life on the strip. There are at least 31 different &quot;shows&quot; that can be programmed and performed for free every night between 8 and midnight local time. The fountain is rumored to have cost $40 million dollars in 1998. Some of the most fascinating facts about the fountain are: 1) The lake was originally a golf course (part of the legendary Dunes Casino and Resort). It's fed by a natural fresh water well that was part of the course. 2) It's not filled with grey water from the hotel (yuck) 3) The highest fountain shoots 460 feet up. 4) 1200 nozzels and 4,500 lights make the show truly special. The next time you are in Las Vegas, be sure to go to the Paris Casino and view the water show from the top of the Eiffel Tower.
