Glenfinnan Viaduct da itmpa

Built by Sir Robert McAlpine for the West Highland Railway (constructed between 1897 and 1901), the viaduct is perhaps surprising in that it is built using concrete. At the time, it was one of the largest concrete constructions ever built without reinforcements. RCAHMS did a rather nice little 'broadsheet' publication on it a few years back (ISBN 9781902419312). Indeed I set out to take these photos with the express desire to get my own versions of <a target="blank" href="http://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/en/details/655693/">this</a> and <a target="blank" href="http://canmore.rcahms.gov.uk/en/details/655697/">this</a>...!
