HMS Belfast (C35) in Londra

La HMS Belfast (Pennant number C35) è, assieme alla HMS Edinburgh, una delle ultime due navi della Classe Town. Ha prestato servizio nella seconda guerra mondiale, in particolare ha fornito fuoco di supporto alle forze da sbarco sulle spiagge Gold e Juno durante l'operazione Nettuno e successivamente ha partecipato alla guerra di corea. Fu rimodernata fra il '56 e il '59. Su richiesta del contrammiraglio Sir Morgan Morgan-Giles (precedentemente comandante della nave) Dal 21 ottobre 1971 (Trafalgar Day) è una nave museo ed è ormeggiata a Londra, sul Tamigi, vicino al Tower Bridge.

A very well maintained ship that’s a fascinating walk through. Great way to teach teens about WW2 & the Royal Navy. Not ideal for young children/older people as there any many ladders to climb.

Really interesting. You get to explore the bowels of the ship well below the waterline. Lots of steep ladders. Wear grippy shoes & keep both hands free.

Very interesting place. This boat is huge, we have visited it today and it took ~ 2 hours to go through all decks, stairs and rooms. It will show you how the marines spent their days on the ship! Nice

Permanently docked on the Thames, lots to see as it took us 3 hours to see all 9 decks. It gives you a sense of what it must have been like. Amazing piece of history and definitely worth the money.

Don't leave this one to the tourists - it's really interesting and, given the size, actually quite good value. Don't wear a skirt (or kilt) though - the best bits are accessed via ladders.

Excelente museo. Es un 10 la visita con audio guía. El interior está perfectamente recreado. Hay acceso a casi todas las partes del buque. Muy didáctico y entretenido. Lo recomiendo.
