Once the home of the First Precinct, the museum contains old-fashioned police relics, an arsenal of police weaponry, photo opportunities with a mug shot backdrop, and a true-to-life jail cell.
Surely it's not one of the peak museum. Though, its low entrance few and the quite short time needed to visit it, make this one a good choice to spend somme spare time, if you have any.
Designed by architects Hunt & Hunt, the First Precinct Police Station is reportedly the first modern police building built in NYC. Built in 1909, the station was designated a NYC Landmark in 1977.
